which is more dangerous?

a blue LED light in the eyes or a red laser pointer? also, can i get the blue light hazard from looking at a blue LED for 90 minutes in a restaurant?
i wasn’t staring at it, but it was so bright that it bothered me in my peripheral vision.

Why would you stare at a blue LED for 90 minutes? Was the food at the restaurant boring? I think a red laser is more dangerous though, then it would probably be enough with just a minute or something like that.

Wicked lasers.com?

Ok, tax season money rolled in and I wanted to buy something cool for my son. He’s is into space, astronomy, things of that nature. I found this site called wicked lasers.com. It seems *REALLY* descent and I’m trying to think of what mW Would be right for him. He do alot of camping and alot of outdoors type activities. SO would there be significant difference between a laser with 95mW and one with 125mW? I have a Small budget, but I want to make my son happy. The one that is 95mW is $400 and the one with 125mW costs $600. So I have a problem. Besides the obvious price differences which one is the better buy? I will post the link to the laser I’m interested below.

http://www.wickedlasers.com/lasers/Evolution_Series-54-0.html

Well, my son is 16 years old. And, yes that’s what he likes about it. He’s a very responsible kid. If he wasn’t then, a $700 laser, *chuckle* I think not.

Well, that laser seems pretty cool but, how old is your son? Why not buy him a nice telescope or camping equipment instead? People on that site say you can actually light a cigarette with that model, and anything you point it at starts to smoke after a few seconds. Why take a chance that it gets shined in someones eyes or used to start a fire?

witch laser goes farther

WItch laser should I buy?

Do not pay attention to nasty boy. i own a green laser pointer and let me tell you, it is amazing. First off, your eye can see green more/ better than any other color, meaning it will be brighter. Second of all, it uses a different technology. green lasers are much better and more expensive than red ones. So get the green one for sure.

How to I wire two laser pointers to run off a 6v lantern battery?

They each used 3 1.5v (I think) button-cell batteries. Is it best to use 2 resistors to get a voltage drop of 3v and wire them across that in parallel?

Yes, because you will not get a very bright light (if at all) if you wired them in series.

Can a green laser kill or at least partially disable a modern video camera?

Can a green laser disable your average consumer / pro-sumer video camera and if it can how powerful (100nm+) does it have to be?

Have you checked with security company’s and asked them this ? Seems they would be up to date on this ..
